REGIONAL SEMINARS: A FRAMEWORK FOR KNOWLEDGE EXCHANGE AND COLLABORATION

The Regional Seminars serve as a platform for the transfer and dissemination of results, fostering reflection and the exchange of ideas concerning the maritime domain and its intersections with the thematic axes of the SEALabHaus project: Blue Tourism, Art and Culture, Architecture, Sea and Sustainability, and Professionalization and Training.

These seminars will be held annually in a face-to-face format, each addressing a distinct theme:

2024: SEALab Design
2025: Strategic Plan for Maritime Culture and Blue Tourism
2026: Volunteer Network

Key objectives include the exchange of experiences and challenges, the generation of a results report, the development of a joint database, and the dissemination of findings among Regional Action Groups.

A primary goal is to establish a participatory space that fosters debate, facilitates the sharing of knowledge, and enables the collection of local data on policies, needs, resources, and challenges.

1st regional seminar. SEALab Design

The I Regional Seminar is conceived as a strategic platform for reflection, debate, and collaboration aimed at the creation of SEALab, a laboratory dedicated to the study and development of initiatives related to the sea and its connection with blue tourism, culture, architecture, sustainability, and professional training.

This in-person seminar seeks to lay the groundwork for the structuring of SEALab by fostering the exchange of knowledge and experiences among the stakeholders that constitute the Regional Action Groups (RAGs). Through a participatory methodology, best practices and regional challenges will be identified and analyzed. Their integration into the future SEALab virtual platform will enable the development of innovative tools and tailored solutions for the maritime sector.

The seminar will be structured into three key segments. The first will feature the Local partner, as the host entity, presenting the concept and objectives of SEALab, emphasizing its role as a transnational cooperation platform. The second will showcase best practices identified by the local RAG members, with the objective of creating a repository of replicable initiatives. Finally, the third segment will be dedicated to a collective discussion on regional challenges and future needs.
